When the industry takes on the challenge
A series of four participatory competitions showcasing the skills, agility and expertise of professionals and apprenticies across the entire production chain.
These brand-new indoor and outdoor contests promise energy, challenge and a friendly atmosphere at the heart of the exhibition.
"INTERCO Nouvelle-Aquitaine : partner for all international contestants. As the International Cooperation Agency of the Regional Council of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, the INTERCO team coordinated the organization of the Vinitech Games in partnership with the Vinitech-Sifel tradeshow and its partners, and took steps for their international section. Bring your country’s know-how and experience during these contests, and challenge professionals from France and all over the world."
AgroCampus Bordeaux Gironde is a public agricultural education institution comprising four high schools, apprenticeship and adult training centres, and vineyard estates in the Gironde region. Deeply rooted in its local area and committed to addressing the evolving needs of “living world” professions, the institution has naturally partnered with Vinitech-Sifel to design competitions that promote the transmission of know-how and innovation within the wine sector. The institution is also involved as a partner in the VitiRev project and leads the NAVI project.
VitiREV is a regional action programme dedicated to supporting the adaptation of viticulture to climate challenges and the ecological transition in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It highlights sustainable practices as well as innovative solutions serving the wine industry. As part of this commitment to fostering the dissemination of innovation, VitiREV has chosen to provide financial support for the virtual pruning competition designed by AgroCampus Bordeaux Gironde.
NAVI (Nouvelle-Aquitaine Viticulture Innovation) is a project aimed at accelerating the adaptation of training and careers in the wine sector in response to climate, demographic, and economic transitions. Within this framework, NAVI has chosen to support the tractor driving competition, an initiative that highlights a key profession essential to the proper functioning of the sector.
UMIH 33 is the leading syndicate association in France and in the Gironde region representing the sector gathering Caterers, Event Organizers, Cafés, Hotels, Restaurants, and Nightclubs. It represents and advocates for these businesses and their respective professions before government agencies, policymakers, and regulatory authorities. It advises, guides, and trains its member companies on a daily basis and works specifically to promote these professions.
CIVB (The Bordeaux Wine Council) is the interprofessional organization representing professionals from the Bordeaux winegrowing and wine trade sectors. Managed by elected industry professionals, it coordinates the sector through research, quality initiatives, promotion of Bordeaux wines, market analysis, and the protection of the industry’s general interests, particularly in terms of sustainable development, wine tourism, and responsible consumption.
Studio Nyx has been developing innovative training software for the agricultural and winegrowing sectors for the past 12 years. As an active member of the collaborative NAVi project, the company brings cutting-edge immersive solutions into classrooms: AMPÉLOS (vine pruning), SIMUPULVE (sprayer calibration) and E-CAB (VR machinery driving). Its subsidiary, Nyx Editions, supports the deployment of these simulators across educational and professional institutions within the industry.
The Barrel Rollers Club of Lussac-Saint-Émilion, directly inspired by Bordeaux folklore, carries on a centuries-old tradition born among the coopers of Bordeaux. The challenge was to roll a Bordeaux wine barrel on its edge (40 kg and 225L) over a set distance as quickly as possible.
Following the gradual disappearance of other Barrel Rollers Clubs in France, the association shifted its focus towards entertainment and now offers performances and demonstrations using lighter barrels, adapted for audiences of all ages, in order to promote the expertise and traditions of the wine and winegrowing industry.
