Heat: a new health challenge for agricultural workers
47 per cent of agricultural workers are considering leaving the sector because of the heat – not out of a lack of interest, but because they are increasingly reaching their physical limits. This is the key finding of the CLISEVE Agri France 2026 survey, published a year after the edition dedicated to the wine sector. What practical steps can your business take? This conference will provide simple guidelines and actions that are easy to implement.

ESCA management strategies: 2/2 Gaining a better understanding of the factors influencing the disease’s manifestation and its impacts on mortality, yields and wine quality in order to implement appropriate measures.
The effect of climate, grape variety, the age of the plots, pruning, and the physiological condition of the plant…Research carried out in recent years has provided a better understanding of the effects of various factors on the expression of esca leaf symptoms, on vine mortality and on the impacts on yield and wine quality. This is a current area of scientific research that requires further investigation so that it can be incorporated into esca management strategies.

Every drop counts: new solutions for sustainable water management in the winery
Faced with the challenges of water and energy efficiency, wine cellars are accelerating their transition towards more sustainable practices. This presentation will outline the latest innovations in water management: reducing consumption, reusing treated wastewater (REUT) and optimising effluent management. Drawing on the findings of the European WatenerWINE project and the Cycl’Eau Vin study, it will provide an overview of the solutions currently available and the prospects for their implementation in wineries. It will shed light on the benefits, regulatory constraints and lessons learnt. The aim is to identify practical ways to reconcile environmental and economic performance in the winery.
