Hydraulic Above-Ground Shredder

Hydraulic Above-Ground Shredder

The TERRAL hydraulic Above-Ground Shredder only allows you to grind vine shoots. Thanks to its grinding chamber located about thirty centimeters from the ground, the nature of the soil is not disturbed by the passage of the grinder. It attaches to a pole or a high-clearance tractor support. Its use can be combined with other tools on the high-clearance vehicle.

The TERRAL hydraulic Above-Ground Shredder is used after the vine pruning period (from January to April). It is advisable to use it on a relatively clean soil, that is to say that the herbs should not exceed 20cm in height. It is perfectly adapted to stony ground or to the seedlings of emerging plant cover, but it can also be used in all types of terrain.

The curved fingers of the pick-up combined with the collecting rakes allow to collect all the wood, even if they are small, in order to bring them into the grinding chamber. The grinding chamber, located about thirty centimeters from the ground, will reduce to pieces the branches accumulated in the chamber. The size of these pieces will be determined by the adjustment of the back plate.

Pailleuse/Faucheuse/Andaineur

Pailleuse/Faucheuse/Andaineur

The TERRAL Mulcher/Mower/Rake is a machine designed to create natural mulching on the ground by cutting grasses and/or vegetation (or even weeds) present on it. The goal is not to grind them (as with an intercep lawnmower for example), but rather to leave them on the spot by breaking the fibers. Creating this natural mulching has several advantages: clearing the cavaillon of weeds, covering the soil to keep it moist during hot weather, preventing other weeds from growing, and limiting tillage that can break down the soil.

Moreover, the PFA turns out to be a 3-in-1 tool. Indeed, depending on the settings, it can:
• Create natural mulching thanks to the existing plant cover (targeted performance): Straw mill
• Prepare the passage of conventional interceps tools (blade, dewatering tool, rotary cutter, etc.) by clearing the highest grass from the ground, which facilitates detection of the vines by the probe: Mower
• Place the pruning shoots and residues in a windrow to collect or crush them after pruning: Windrower
