The OENOVATION® TROPHIES is an initiative of the Technopole Bordeaux Montesquieu.
Founded in 2001 and supported by the Ministry of Research and Technology, Aquitaine Regional Council, the Gironde General Council and the Community of Montesquieu, the Oenovation® Award recognises genuine innovations for the vineyard and winery. Selection and award criteria highlight projects that successfully combine traditional know-how, innovation, technology and creativity.
This area will also showcase the winners of the Oenovation Award for innovation in the wine industry.
2016 : 11th edition Oenovation Award
Organised by Bordeaux Montesquieu Technology Park in partnership with Vinitech-Sifel, the Œnovation® Award promotes innovative projects by creative young entrepreneurs in the wine production sector. It acts as a springboard for innovative start-ups and existing businesses with an original idea they want to develop.
This national competition, unique in France, aims to give the winning entrepreneurs the best chance of success by offering them assistance, and the support they need to set up and develop their project. The total prize money of approximately €25,000 is shared between the winners.

The judges, comprising scientific experts, manufacturers, wine producers and merchants, as well as regional economic development players, chosen on the basis of four criteria:
- economic and innovative potential,
- calibre of the project team
- the product or service’s integration into
- contribution to the wine production sector.
The 2014 winners are:
Antofénol an innovative start-up which develops a range of natural preservatives for fruit and vegetables that exploit the antifungal and antioxidant properties of waste products from the winemaking process, and AP3M professional of thermal solutions for winemaking, which invented a patented machine the "Thermopack" in the field of thermovinification.
It was awarded to the company Winetailors, a network of franchised commercial agents specialised in selling and promoting wines to wine bars, restaurants and wine merchants.
